Parasites in Malta
Your pet should be protected against all of these parasites.

Their bodies are laterally compressed, permitting easy movement through the hairs or feathers on the host's body. They are wingless insects, but do jump great distances.
2 & 3. These are to magnified images of two types of ticks we have in Malta.
They have a round body which increases in size the more time they engorge on blood. They have 8 legs.

Sandly is a vector of leishmaniosis. Leishmania is a commonly diagnosed disease on the Maltese Islands
