Vaccinations and Check-ups
All required vaccinations for your pet are available at Vetcare. From immunisation for very young animals, to prevention and treatment of diseases for all pets.
Dog:
Young dogs:
Usually recommend to vaccinate puppies at 7-8 weeks of age. The puppy should settle down in their new home for at least 5 days before coming for their visit vaccination. An additional vaccine is give 3-4 weeks later and a booster is given in another 3-4 weeks.
The Booster is then repeated every year.
Additional Vaccines:
- Rabies
- Sandfly (leishmaniosis)
- Kennel Cough
Cats:
Kittens:
We recommend vaccinating your kitten at 7-8 weeks of age after they have settled into their home. We give a booster of this 3-4 weeks later.
The booster is then repeated every year.
Additional Vaccines:
- Feline Leukemia Virus
- Ringworm
Rabbit:
We vaccinate rabbits at 3 months of age against Myxomatosis and Rabbit (viral) Haemorrhagic Disease. A booster is given every 6 months.
Ferrets:
We vaccinate ferrets usually at 8 weeks once they have been weaned off their mother.
